Custom formula guide
Custom mode exists so we never have to invent a missing official rule. You type the multiplier and offset. The result is stamped unofficial on screen, in the share link, and in the printed copy.
The equation you are typing
Custom mode uses Percentage = multiplier × CGPA + offset. Examples people sometimes need for a spreadsheet, not as institutional truth:
- multiplier 10, offset 0 → CGPA × 10
- multiplier 10, offset −7.5 → (CGPA − 0.75) × 10
- multiplier 9.5, offset 0 → the old CBSE Class 10 rule, only if you choose it
When custom mode is honest
- Your university is not in the catalog and you are exploring, not filing.
- A receiving organisation told you to use a formula that is not your university’s.
- You are checking someone else’s claim against arithmetic.
When custom mode is the wrong tool
If a verified official scheme exists, use that scheme. If the institution issues a certificate and publishes no equation — Anna University in this build — request the certificate.
