VTU’s own “CGPA Standard Formula” page limits (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 to the 2015, 2017 and 2018 schemes. The official illustration is CGPA 8.20 → 74.5%. Later regulations, including the R5 text hosted by BIT Bangalore, use a different employment conversion.

Reverse: CGPA = (Percentage ÷ 10) + 0.75
VTU’s public “CGPA Standard Formula” page limits this equation to the 2015, 2017 and 2018 schemes only. Later schemes publish a different employment/higher-studies conversion. Do not apply this formula to 2021 or NEP schemes.

Standard formula to calculate percentage from CGPA for 2015,2017 and 2018 scheme only. Percentage = ( CGPA – 0.75) * 10. Official illustration in regulations: CGPA 8.20 → M = [8.20 − 0.75] × 10 = 74.5%.

This page will not apply CGPA × 10 to a 2018 scheme marksheet, and it will not apply the 0.75 offset to a 2021 scheme marksheet.
